St. Petersburg Innovation District
In 2021, we moved our main office to St. Petersburg, FL into the Innovation District's Maritime and Defense Technology Hub.
Joining the tech community
PVM is a proud founding member of St. Petersburg Maritime and Defense Hub's data and technology pillar. We are excited to work alongside anchor companies Pole Star Maritime Global, and SailDrone in the Maritime and Defense Technology Hub. As part of our membership, we will use our expertise to help solve and deploy solutions to the Tampa Bay community. Specifically, we will focus on solutions that improve the overall economic health of the community while increasing opportunities for underrepresented members of the tech community.

A big small town.
With our move to St. Pete, PVM became the largest minority-owned tech company in the city and one that is also women-run. For rapid tech growth, this growing city on Florida's Gulf Coast is the place to be. Florida currently has the third-largest tech industry in the United States, and that industry is flourishing, with more than 30 thousand companies employing nearly 600 thousand Floridians.
Diversity is in our DNA
A St. Pete native, Pat Mack founded PVM after a 25+ career in the Navy and has now brought it back to his hometown. While building the company, he intentionally recruited a diverse group of tech nerds, creating a culture of collaboration and community, while also giving us a competitive edge. We believe this diversity is what makes us great.
PVM is offering opportunities in tech to young people in underserved communities here in St. Pete. We want to lift up others to continue to add more diverse voices to our tech space. We want to contribute to the progress we've seen in St. Pete and be part of the city's continued growth and development.
Our New Neighborhood
The St. Petersburg Maritime and Defense Technology Hub is at the intersection of business, government, and academic research. It is located in the city's new Innovation District, an area just south of downtown that is focused on equity and "smart growth". Designed to promote collaboration between the trailblazers of each field, this Hub will offer such unique features as direct access to Tampa Bay and secure comms rooms.
Our neighbors in the Innovation District include the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, the Dali Museum and Poynter Institute, and ARK Investment management.
“The Maritime and Defense Hub is part of an initiative with the City of St. Pete to foster collaboration among the different business verticals of science, technology, and government. We’re excited PVM is coming on board as a new tenant in this space.”
“St. Petersburg is a part of who I am. It made me. We’re going to turn around and be a part of shaping it right back.”
