St. PETERSBURG – A GROWING TECHNOLOGY HUB

PVM CEO Pat Mack founded PVM in San Diego and later returned to his hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida to establish a center of excellence. With the move to St. Pete, PVM became the largest minority-owned tech company in the city. PVM is backed by the city of St. Petersburg’s Innovation District and is a founding member of the Maritime and Defense Technology Hub.

PVM AND THE MARITIME AND DEFENSE TECHNOLOGY HUB

The St. Petersburg Innovation District (SPID) established six pillars in alignment with the city’s Grow Smarter strategy, which focuses on equity in economic development.

Education

The Maritime and Defense Technology Hub was founded in 2021 to bring organizations together that align with those pillars and the Grow Smarter strategy. The results: Innovation and collaboration within marine science and defense technology under one roof.

As tenants of the Hub, PVM must be peer mentors, provide internship opportunities, and participate in technical exchange events. The goal is to engage the community not only within the SPID, but beyond. What does that mean for you? We are surrounded by a community of our peers who share resources and ideas, keeping us connected to the newest technologies and innovations in our field.
